Looking to schedule a one-time workshop at the Berkeley Art Studio for you and your friends? Host your next team building or birthday party right here at the art studio! We offer 2-hour painting, ceramics, and screen printing activities for small groups of 14 people or less.
Ceramics Workshop
The 2 hour activity includes a full demonstration by our instructor on how to hand-build your own cup from slabs of clay and then plenty of time to make your own ceramic piece. It’s a fun, relaxing workshop that’s also great for beginners!

- Non-UCB Affiliated Price: $600 flat fee, and an additional $50/person over a group of 10.
Additional notes:
- Because we want you to take home a beautiful, fully finished piece of artwork, your piece will need to be fired twice and glazed by our technicians. This process can take 3-4 weeks.
Screenprinting Workshop
The 2 hour workshop includes a complete tutorial of how the print-making process works, then you and your party will get to screen print your own posters & tote bags. Send us an image of what you would like to print and then print your own custom piece!

- Non-UCB Affiliated Price: $600 flat fee, and an additional $50/person over a group of 10.
Additional notes:
- Please send us a 300 dpi black & white file, preferably a transparent png of the image you would like printed
- Your group is welcome to print on T-shirts! Your party is responsible for providing them.
Watercolor Workshop
The 2 hour watercolor painting activity is great for beginners looking for an engaging art-making session. Painting themes include landscapes, succulents, flowers, animals, still-lives with everyday objects, and more.

- Non-UCB Affiliated Price: $600 flat fee, and an additional $50/person over a group of 10.
Additional notes:
- We will send you 3 image themes to choose from. Please let us know if you have a specific image or theme you would like to paint however.
Virtual Watercolor Workshop
Our 1-hour long virtual workshops accommodate a variety of skill levels and are great for teams who want to participate in an easy-going art activity! Painting themes include cacti, succulents, food, and flowers.
- Duration: 1 hour
- Maximum # of participants: 40
- Non-UCB Affiliated Price: $600 flat fee
- Requirement: Zoom software & watercolor painting kits (we can provide a suggested list of materials to purchase)

How do I pay for a workshop?
Payment is due one-week in advance of the workshop date. You may pay via credit card, check, or your UC department’s chartstring
When can I schedule a workshop?
We custom schedule group activities based on instructor availability and your date & time preferences. Scheduling requests must be sent at least 2 weeks in advance of the desired date.
Can I bring food and drinks?
You may bring food and beverages for your party to share, but you must also bring your own plates, cups, and cutlery.
I participated in a ceramics workshop, how soon will I get my piece back?
We will email you when your pieces are ready for pick-up. It usually takes 3-4 weeks for your group’s work to be full fired and ready to take home.
