Advanced Beginner Pottery – Spring

Our Advanced Beginner class gives you the chance to hone in your basic pottery skills while learning advanced techniques. During the class, you will practice throwing taller forms with consistent walls. You will also make mugs with handles, bowls, and vases.

Surface Techniques – Spring

Create your forms on the potter’s wheel, then finish your pieces using unique decorative techniques! You will learn how to use slip to decorate greenware and create texture with tools, stamps, and other surface carving techniques. We’ll also experiment with glazes and explore a variety of ways to use them. This class is perfect for intermediate students interested in learning more about surface design.

Pre-requisite: Must be able to throw a cylinder confidently and with even walls.

Coil Building and Pinch Pots – Winter
