Ceramics Focus: Planters – Intermediate (Summer)

In this class you will practice throwing large pots and vases in combination with hand built elements and forms. You will learn how to measure and weigh clay, as well as glaze application, in order to create create consistent pieces that are perfect for your plants. This class is for intermediate level students.

Beginning Pottery (Summer)

Dive into clay with our introductory pottery class! Learn the ins and outs of throwing one-of-a-kind ceramics pieces and explore the basics of finishing and glazing your work. No previous experience with clay is necessary.

Advanced Pottery (Summer)

This course is geared towards potters who are interested in developing their own style, voice, and distinctive body of work. Through discussions, exercises, and demonstrations, we’ll work on the components of successful art making. Design, development, advanced building skills, as well as the complex relationship between form and color will all be discussed in an effort to better understand our own artistic intentions. Come to class with sketches and ideas and ready to work alongside other similarly interested artists. This class is ideal for dedicated potters who want to advance their craft.

Advanced Beginner Pottery (Summer)

Our Advanced Beginner class gives you the chance to develop your basic pottery skills while learning advanced techniques. During the class, you will practice throwing taller forms with consistent walls. You will also make mugs with handles, bowls, and vases.
