Watercolor Fundamentals

Learn the basics of watercolor in this beginner to intermediate course. We will cover the principles of color theory, color mixing, paint layering, and texture through still life, landscapes, wildlife, and more. You will be able to freely express yourself with a new painting every class or take your time with a passion project. Whether you are a practicing artist or would just like to get your feet wet, you’ll leave the class with a new outlook on watercolor painting.

  • Canson Watercolor Paper- 11” x 14”, Cold Press
  • 10 Well Plastic Tray
  • Kneaded eraser
  • 2 General’s Kimberly Drawing Pencil – HB
  • Sharpener – Double-Hole
  • Synthetic Watercolor Brush- Round 2 ,6,10
  • M.Graham colors- Ultramarine Blue, Alizarin Crimson, Azo Yellow, Sap Green, Chinese White,
  • Raw Sienna 
  • 14×17 drawing board
  • Drafting Tape 1 inch
  • Jar For Water

Supplies will be available at Artist & Craftsman, 2573 Shattuck Avenue, Berkeley at Blake Street.
