Ceramics Focus: Handbuilding Functional Forms

Learn to design and build functional pieces by hand. This class will utilize a variety of handbuilding techniques including pinching and coil building, slab construction, slip decoration, surface texture, all with attention to detail and function. Students will create a variety of functional pieces including cups, small plates, as well as closed forms such as boxes, bottles/vases, and more. This class is ideal for any student interested in learning handbuilding techniques as well as more experienced students looking to expand and improve upon existing skills.
