Sculpting the Human Figure

Students will learn basic human anatomy and apply it to two projects during this seven week course. The first project will be a low relief sculpture of a human figure from head to toe. A relief in this context means that the human form will be raised slightly from the flat background, giving the work more information and depth. During the second project, students may choose a specific aspect of the human body and create their own sculpture based on what they have learned so far in the course.
