Watercolor Fundamentals – Summer

Learn the basics of watercolor in this beginner course. We will cover the principles of color theory, color mixing, paint layering, and texture through still life, landscapes, wildlife, and more. You will be able to freely express yourself with a new painting every class or take your time with a passion project. Whether you are a practicing artist or would just like to get your feet wet, you'll leave the class with a new outlook on watercolor painting.

Materials List:

  • Daniel Smith (high quality) or Cotman (affordable) watercolors
    • Colors: Ultramarine Blue, Alizarin Crimson, Lemon Yellow, Burnt Sienna, Sap Green, Indigo, Burnt umber
  • Synthetic watercolor color brushes size 12, 8, 4, 2 round
  • 9x12 Fluid watercolor paper, cold press
  • Hb pencils(2)
  • Pencil sharpener
  • Kneaded eraser
  • 10 well paint palette (ceramic or plastic)
