Learn the basics of watercolor in this beginner course. We will cover the principles of color theory, color mixing, paint layering, and texture through still life, landscapes, wildlife, and more. You will be able to freely express yourself with a new painting every class or take your time with a passion project. Whether you are a practicing artist or would just like to get your feet wet, you'll leave the class with a new outlook on watercolor painting.

Materials List:

  • Watercolors ( Daniel Smith or Cotman brand)
    • Colors: gamboge, lemon yellow, vermillion, alizarin crimson, ultramarine blue, prussian blue, viridian, burnt umber, burnt sienna, Indigo
  • Fluid brand 9x12 Watercolor block cold press
  • 1 inch flat, 10, 4, 2 round brushes
  • 12 well palette
  • 2 hb pencils
  • small kneaded eraser
  • cup for water
