In this two part workshop we'll cover a heel and a toe, or two. This will be a stockinette/rib sock suitable for folks who have experience knitting in the round and want to learn to make socks.
We'll share out a pattern in advance, you'll knit the length of your choice (at least one sock, maybe two!) and we'll turn the heel (or heels as the case may be). Then you'll knit the body of the foot and we'll work the toes together.
Skills needed: casting on, measuring gauge, knitting and purling in the round on dpns or magic loop, reading a pattern, increasing and decreasing.
Skills covered: turning a heel, short rows, grafting.
Materials needed:
sock yarn (ideally wool with 20-25% nylon)
dpn or circular needles needed to obtain gauge
gauge ruler or ruler
