Ceramics Image Transfer Workshop

Explore the art of ceramic image transfers! In this 2 week workshop you will learn how to design and create your own custom image transfers and apply them to your glazed pottery pieces. Each student will get 2 image transfer sheets, access to glazes, and will have their pieces finished in a special decal firing.
Prerequisite: must have several ceramic bisqueware pieces ready for use.
Day 1: Bring your bisque fired pieces (made at the Berkeley Art Studio) to review glazing techniques for decal firings. After glazing we will discuss image selections and designs and how to prepare image files for the decals.
Day 2: Arrive with your images ready to be printed on to special transfer paper. We will review the printing process and then apply the image transfers to your glazeware. Finished pieces will be ready to pick up 1-2 weeks after the second class.
Please note that studio access is not included in this workshop.
