The Art Studio teaches a wide aray of photography classes that appeal to both beginners and experienced photographers.
In addition to classes the Art Studio features a black & white darkroom for rental to members with printing and film processing experience. Facilities include a group darkroom, a private darkroom and a film processing station.
The Black and White Darkroom features:
- Beseler 45MX enlargers
- 35mm, 6 x 4.5cm, 6 x 6 cm, 6 x 7 cm, 6 x 9 cm and 4 x 5” negative carriers
- Prints up to 11 x 14” (group darkroom) or 16 x 20” (private darkroom)
- Chemistry, easels, grain focuser and contrast filters provided
- Lab staffed by professional artists
The Art Studio also features a private color dark-room for rental to members with experience printing from color negatives.
The Color Darkroom features :
- 2 Omega Dichro II enlargers
- Kreonite Promate RA-4 processor
- 35mm, 6 x 4.5cm, 6 x 6 cm, 6 x 7 cm,
6 x 9 cm and 4 x 5” negative carriers
- Prints from 8 x 10” to 20 x 24”
- Easels, grain focuser and viewing filters provided
- Private darkroom
- Lab staffed by professional artists
The Art Studio features a ceramics and pottery studio for the use of members with ceramics experience. Facilities include pottery wheels, electric kilns and a glazing station.
